Born 1944, Waldorf school alumnus, equivalent of a master's degree in mathematics, software developer. I have stuttered as long as I can remember. Now I've been quite fluent for many years.
Co-founder of the self-help organization in Germany. Master's degree in speech-language pathology from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, USA. German certification as "Logopäde". Translation of several books about stuttering including Charles Van Riper's "Treatment of Stuttering" (Die Behandlung des Stotterns).
With one colleague, I have been conducting therapy groups since 1987 for teens and adults who stutter. This began as one group per year and has now increased to four groups in Germany and two in Austria. Since 1995 extensive lecturing work (continuing education courses) in Germany, also in Austria, Switzerland, and Belgium.
